Junior Golf An exciting program is planned for Junior Golfers at LCC again this year. We hope that your junior golfer will be in attendance to learn more about golf and to have some fun. As in the past, the Mission of the Junior Golf Program is to provide competent instruction while allowing for social enjoyment, friendly competition and a life-long appreciation for the game. Our Program will also promote the following life-enhancing values: Junior Golfers will report to the Patio on each scheduled date as shown on the attached. They should arrive by 8:50am and sign-in, so that the program can begin promptly at 9:00 am. Juniors should report rain or shine. Golf balls, tees and ball markers will be provided for all practice sessions. At the close of each two hour session, Golfers will be dismissed at 11:00 am. On days of tournaments, Juniors are to arrive fifteen minutes prior to tee time. They will need to call the Pro Shop the day before the tournament to receive tee time. A golf shirt will be given to each Jr Golfer at the end of the first session. These shirts belong to them, and should be worn at every session, tournament and during the Junior Championship. Also, they need sneakers or soft-spike golf shoes. If a child wishes to participate in the Jr Golf Program, but does not own golf clubs, please contact Mr. Pat Terpak, Pro at 248-9822; every effort will be made to have clubs available for his or her use. Concerns for the sun and extreme heat, please apply sunscreen prior to arriving at the course. Also provide golfer with hat or visor; we will supply all bottled water. The Junior Golf Picnic and Awards Presentation will be held on Sunday, August 9th at 6:00 PM at LCC. This is for Junior Golfers and their family. Medals, trophies and other gifts will be given at that time. We encourage your attendance to make the last event fun and memorable for all.
